<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="The%20Tenaska%20Center%20for%20Arts%20Engagement%20is%20officially%20open%20&#8211;%20Omaha%20Performing%20Arts">The Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement</a> opened its doors with a ribbon cutting on March 19, followed by a community open house on March 22 and a Community Day on April 11 that welcomed families for free classes, performances and hands&#8209;on arts experiences. The $108 million center represents one of Omaha&#8217;s most significant recent investments in arts education. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Each year, Omaha Performing Arts reaches an estimated 100,000 students across all 93 Nebraska counties (and even into southwest Iowa), making this new space a powerful extension of their statewide impact.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p>I left the program reenergized by the craft of storytelling and the impact it can have inside an<br>organization. As workplaces continue navigating hybrid environments, shifting expectations,<br>and evolving tools, the opportunity is clear: communicate in ways that honor people,<br>strengthen connection, and make information meaningful.</p>

			  <title><![CDATA[On Brand: A Conference of Outcomes, Not Just Output]]></title>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>This year&#8217;s On Brand conference is the experience I needed after finishing graduate school and wondering what to do next. It is the conference I needed when I worked at a global nonprofit and wondered how to tell stories from an inclusive standpoint, or when I worked at Trader Joe&#8217;s on a "jarabattical." It is what I needed while working at a professional services firm for over a decade and throughout my most recent "jarabattical" before joining my current employer&#8212;all while refining my volunteer and nonprofit board experience.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>As the world continues to change and we are impacted in different ways, I find myself asking: How do I stay true to myself, my passion and my purpose while fueling my desire to learn more? Oh, and how do I continue to learn from others?</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>We are building this year&#8217;s agenda to answer those very questions. We are curating breakouts for the nonprofit storyteller, the midlevel professional, the recent graduate, the first-time employee and the leader ready to support a new generation. Whether you are navigating a career pivot, a professional transition or seeking to level up in your current role, we will have a track designed for you.</span></p>

Morman said she was &#8220;honestly beside myself&#8221; to be recognized with PRSA&#8217;s highest individual honor.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Entries were assessed based on research, planning, execution and evaluation, with judges abstaining where conflicts of interest may exist. Entries are judged against professional standards and total points determine whether work receives an award and what kind.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

			  <title><![CDATA[A Legacy of Leadership: Remembering Rosalee Roberts, APR, Fellow PRSA]]></title>
			 <description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;"><img src="https://prsanebraska.starchapter.com/images/blog/Rosalee_Roberts_copy__002_8-27-19.jpg" width="674" height="448" alt="" style="text-align: center;"></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">PRSA Nebraska mourns the passing of Rosalee Roberts, APR, Fellow PRSA, who died on <a href="https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/omaha/name/rosalee-roberts-obituary?id=59135441">July 29, 2025, at age 81</a>. Rosalee&#8217;s contributions to the PR profession span more than five decades, and her influence will continue to shape generations of communicators to come.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Rosalee joined our chapter in 1975 and served as President of PRSA Nebraska in 1989. She went on to become PRSA&#8217;s National President in 1992 &#8212; the first and only Nebraskan and just the third Midwesterner ever elected to that position. Her role at the helm of the then 20,000-member organization took her across the country, speaking, advising and advocating for the value of strategic communications.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">In 1994, Rosalee was inducted into the PRSA College of Fellows, the highest honor the organization bestows. Her decades of experience included leadership roles at Bozell, Children&#8217;s Healthcare Services and the launch of her own consultancy, Rosalee Roberts Public Relations, in 1999. Her firm served clients in healthcare, food, entertainment, technology and beyond.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Throughout her career, she combined strategic skill with creative flair, helping clients increase visibility, reach audiences and achieve award-winning results.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">&#8220;She is a PR legend and someone I greatly admire,&#8221; said PRSA Nebraska President LeAnne Morman, APR. &#8220;I worked with her frequently on stories as a young journalist at WOWT and enjoyed getting to know her over the years. She gave so much to our industry, and we&#8217;re all better for it.&#8221;<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">In 2018, she was recognized by the Broadway League as Publicist of the Year for her work with Omaha Performing Arts. She also served several organizations in volunteer roles over the years and was honored by the Omaha Press Club as a &#8220;Face on the Barroom Floor&#8221; for her impact in the community.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Beyond the recognition and outstanding work for clients and the community, Rosalee was a mentor, cheerleader and consistent source of encouragement.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">&#8220;Rosalee was always willing to lend her ear or give advice,&#8221; said PRSA Nebraska Past President Monique Farmer, APR. &#8220;I remember on several occasions just reaching out to her with PR questions early in my career. She will be sincerely missed &#8212; not just by our chapter, but by the entire industry.&#8221;<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">&#8220;Our chapter has never had a bigger booster than she was,&#8221; said PRSA Nebraska Chapter Administrator Joe Pittman.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;">Her impact is vast, and we are honored to have had her as part of our chapter, our history and our hearts. Our profession is stronger because of the leadership and contributions of Rosalee. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
