2008 PRSA Nebraska Chapter Strategic Plan


  • Conducted strategic planning session with new Board of Directors on December 18, 2008.
  • Follow-up input and executive committee/VP discussion on January 17.

Overall Goals

  1. Chapter Brand: PRSA Nebraska exemplifies industry best practices; encourages ethical behavior; provides professional development, mentoring and networking opportunities; and promotes the public relations industry throughout the state.  
  2. Membership: PRSA Nebraska actively engages its members and seeks to recruit additional professionals to join our Chapter.
  3. Promote profession: PRSA Nebraska promotes the integrity of the public relations industry and the strategic role PR professionals play in business.

PRSA Nebraska membership will be equal to or greater than 220 members by December 31, 2008.

Fifty percent of senior PRSA Nebraska members will participate in one or more Chapter activities by December 31, 2008.

Seventy-five percent of PRSA Nebraska members will participate in one or more Chapter activities by December 31, 2008.

Five individuals currently on prospect list will join locally by December 31, 2008.

Members of the four affiliated PRSSA Chapters will recognize the value of professional membership in PRSA Nebraska by December 31, 2008.

Key members of the media will recognize PRSA Nebraska, and its members, as local experts for the profession by December 31, 2008.

Increase the percentage of accreditated chapter members by 3% by December 31, 2008.
