Serving on a PRSA committee is a great way for professionals and students to serve the Chapter, network with fellow professionals and gain valuable experience. To volunteer for a specific committee, please complete this short online form. 

Additionally, the leadership team for the 2026 PRSA Nebraska Board of Directors is looking for outstanding communications professionals to join the board. Join a great group of Nebraska communications professionals who are passionate about advancing the profession in our state. Please complete this form and a board member will reach out. 

Community Service PROJECT

Each year, PRSA Nebraska partners students to provide one Omaha or Lincoln nonprofit with pro bono PR and communications assistance. Organizations are chosen annually based on goals and priorities for the upcoming year, project timing, and the resources, areas of expertise and availability of volunteer professionals. Examples of previous work include developing a strategic communications plan, conducting media outreach for a program or event, creating a social media editorial calendar and more.

The application is generally open either in the spring or the fall, depending on student schedules. Once the form is live, it will be shared across PRSA’s communications channels (social media, newsletter, website), so be on the lookout.
